Apply Online for PF (EPFO) – COVID-19 Help –– Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation of India, members can apply for the Advance claim for the outbreak of pandemic (COVID-19). EPFO subscribers can now withdraw 75% of their savings or up to a maximum of 3 month’s basic pay and dearness allowance from their PF account – whichever is lower.
The labor ministry has issued a notification for all EPFO subscribers allowing them to withdraw a portion of their savings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Subscribers are allowed to withdraw their money from 1st April. To withdraw money subscribers have to raise a claim online using the EPFO official website or using the UMANG Android application.

Up to 75% of the PF balance (Employee share and Employer Share) or three month’s PF wages or the claimed amount by the member, whichever is least.
Raise PF Claim Using EPFO Website – Apply Online for PF (EPFO)
Eligibility to apply online for a claim for “Outbreak of pandemic COVID-19”
- UAN Number (should be activated).
- Aadhar should be liked with the EPFO account or UAN.
- Bank Account with IFSC code should be seeded with the EPFO account.
Step-1 Log in to the member interface of the united portal using UAN & Password, the direct link given below.
Step-2 Go to “Online Services” Tab and Click on “Claim(Form-31,19,10C & 10D)”.
Step-3 Enter the last 4 digits of your bank account number and click verify.
Step-4 Click on “Proceed for Online Claim”.
Step-5 Select “PF Advance(Form 31)” from the dropdown.
Step-6 Select Purpose “Outbreak of pandemic (COVID-19)” from the dropdown.
Step-7 Enter the amount required and upload the scanned copy of the cheque/ passbook and then enter your address.
Step-8 Click on “Get Aadhar OTP”, enter the OTP received on your mobile number.
Step-9 Claim is submitted.
Raise Claim Using UMANG Android App – Apply Online for PF (EPFO)
Eligibility to apply online for a claim for “Outbreak of pandemic COVID-19”
- UAN Number (should be activated).
- Aadhar should be liked with the EPFO account or UAN.
- Bank Account with IFSC code should be seeded with the EPFO account.
Step-1 Download & install UMANG Android/ IOS application, a direct link is given below.
Step-2 Login/ Register on the application using the mobile number & other personal details.
Step-3 Search for EPFO on the application & click to open.
You will see the screen like above screenshot, click “Request for Advance (COVID-19)” claim.
Step-4 Enter the details & follow the steps accordingly.
Step-5 Claim is submitted.
